Sarah Palin - "The Undefeated" Video - Have a good laugh, everybody!

By Kathleen

If all in the world was as it should be Sarah Palin might have become the second Stephen Colbert, but unfortunately, as we all well know, she is serious. These days she is the star of a "documentary" which was already regarded as a bad joke on the day of its official release. Still,as ever, the entertainment value of Sarah Palin is unmatched. She should have become a comedian, the parody of a female conservative politician, but God told her that she is supposed to rule the world. Which is why she simply cannot stop, she probably never will. So in order to counter the insanity, making fun of Sarah Palin is still the absolute best tonic we can give ourselves.

We found a parody trailer of "The Undefeated" - it was posted today and deserves to be seen by a wider audience:

There is much more:

Our talented reader AzureGhost, who is a real photoshop wizard, created several parody posters for "The Undefeated" - they are terrific!

I do hope that they will be picked up by other websites (click on pictures to enlarge):

The last one is my absolute favourite. I would love to see this hanging in my study.

So far, the critics have rated this "Disaster of Biblical Proportions" titled "The Undefeated" with a solid ZERO. There is no love for Steve Bannon and his editing skills on the movie review site "Rotten Tomatoes" - even though the number of reviews jumped today from eight to ten:

It apparently also didn't help Steve Bannon that he "extensively studied" the propaganda films of Leni Riefenstahl and Sergei Eisenstein.

Robert Abele from the "Los Angeles Times" sums it up:

A troop-rallying campaign infomercial as imagined by Michael Bay: hero-worshipping, crescendo-edited at a dizzying pace, thunderously repetitive and its own worst enemy as a two-hour, talking-points briefing.

I guess that the headline on "Fox News" from June 6, 2011 turned out not to be entirely correct after all:

I am shocked. No, I am not!

In contrast, one of the type of movies which Sarah Palin summarily condemned in "America by Heart", the celebrated anti-war movie "Hurt Locker", received very different reviews on "Rotten Tomatoes":

The movie "Hurt Locker" received reviews of the kind that the delusional Palin-camp surely was hoping for:

One of the few must watches of the year so far, and certainly one of the most intelligent offerings, The Hurt Locker would likely already be boasting a masterpiece label had it been from a high profile director or studio.

Cruel, cruel world...will anybody ever acknowledge the genius of Sarah Palin?

By the way, even dust collector "America by Heart" was good enough for some decent jokes, as this clip with comedian Seaton Smith proves. The comment that Sarah Palin is like "the old Lindsay Lohan" should earn him a place on Palin's infamous "enemies list", compiled by Tina Dupuy. I guess Sarah Palin had missed the comment. Hi there, Sarah!

Flashback - Sarah Palin (in other words her ghostwriter...) wrote on page 42 of "America by Heart":

Today Hollywood seems to be more at home disparaging the war effort than supporting it. During the Iraq war, Hollywood did something it had never done before in the history of American warfare: It made movies like Rendition and Green Zone, films that were critical of the war while the troops were still fighting in the field. It's their right to be critical, of course, just as it's our right not to support undermining our troops while they are risking their lives in battle; and Americans didn't. These anti-Iraq War films all tanked at the box office. You would think that if love of country didn't inspire Hollywood to make different films, love of the box office receipts would.

Exactly, make some movies which the box office will love!

Such as "The Undefeated"........?

Conor Friedersdorf from "The Atlantic" bravely attempted to interview the masses flooding into Sarah Palin's "Triumph of the Stupid", in conservative "Orange County" - with lots of motivation, but little success:

"We looked online for the latest movie playing," Jessie added. "But all the Harry Potters were sold out, and then we saw 'The Undeafeated.' We don't even actually know what we're seeing."

"Well welcome to California," I said. "You're about to see a documentary about Sarah Palin."

"Oh, really?" they said, and started giggling again. I think they were expecting an action flick. When I returned to my seat, I thought maybe I'd talk to them after the movie, and get the perspective of two people who went in with no expectations. But they only lasted 20 minutes before walking out.

After that, it is strictly accurate to say that the theater was empty, except for me. On screen there were clips of a younger Sarah Palin helping to reform Alaskan governance. "In politics, you're either eating well or sleeping well," she said. I jotted this down: "And which of those are you doing now?"

Shortly before the end of the film, a young couple entered, walked to the back row, started making out, then interrupted their session and left (spoiler alert) as Andrew Breitbart, who made one of several guest appearances, started talking about eunuchs. Then I was alone again, working. Instead of researching civil liberties violations, or the war in Libya, or the contest to elect the next president of the United States, I was both a journalist and the only member of the public willfully paying attention to Sarah Palin, as if standing in for the pathologies of my profession.

Our very own Leadfoot_LA reported today that "The Undefeated" is nowhere to be found in a cinema in Los Angeles - but wasn't the point of this propaganda movie to convince the undecided, the unconvinced? Or are the distributors actually embarrassed of the movie?

In any case, Sarah Palin apparently loves "The Undefeated." But then she loves everything and everybody who worships her, because she is the chosen one, God speaks to her, right?

Looking for funny Palin videos, I came across the following clip by successful "youtube-comedian" LisaNova which she posted on youtube at the end of November last year. Like other excellent Palin-parodies by LisaNova, it's still as funny as when it was first released, and some of you might not have seen it yet. In addition, the depiction of Bristol in this clip becomes even more meaningful after the publication of Bristol's very own dust collector "Not Afraid of Life":

Sarah Palin - best comedy material, ever. And as Kilob so succinctly put it for twitter:

@sarahpalinusa The Undefeated is so bad Netflix doesn't want it returned when it is rented!

Which reminds me. If you would like to be included in a list of twitterers which I am compiling for Politicalgates please contact me by email with your twitter name at kathleenpoliticalgates@gmail.com

UPDATE:

Thanks to Politicalgates reader FreeTrig we have another video parody laugh, Palin Campaign Headquarters Launches The Undefeated! Enjoy!

Mental Health Break - Having lots and lots of fun with Sarah Palin

By Patrick

Sarah Palin missed her calling, she should have become a comedian. I have never seen a better parody of a politician. It's time to celebrate this unrefudiable fact with a little fun post!

Let's start with Jon Stewart and the Daily Show - due to the latest events, Sarah "Queen Esther" Palin again is firmly in his cross hairs! Hurray! Sarah receives the Stewart treatment, and it has rarely been more deserved. In case you haven't seen it, note what the "gotcha" question was that poor Sarah complained about!

John Oliver was also on the case - and takes a good look at Sarah Palin's bus!

Did you know what Sarah publicizes...?

What else was there? Oh, Conan had a lot of fun with Sarah's interview with Chris Wallace as well and published his own version:

This was a mash up. of course. In case your day wasn't painful enough already, you can also watch the full interview here:

Part 2 (Sarah refuses to acknowledge Paul Revere gaffe - watch from 1:01)

+++

LAST COMEDY CLIP BUT NOT LEAST:

Ladies and gentleman, despite the fact that Jon Stewart was already brilliant, here comes Stephen Colbert, who absolutely outdoes himself with his recreation of Paul Revere's ride - a must-see (click for video)!

+++

Finally, I present a clip which is supposed to be dead serious - but is in fact dead funny. A new excerpt from Sarah Palin's new film "Triumph of the Grifter" (copyright of the phrase: Jim Newell from Gawker). Did you know that Sarah Palin was an ENORMOUSLY powerful CEO, basically the Queen of the CEO's? Well, in case you didn't know yet, then you are lucky: There are quite a number of dead serious people who are very, very eager to tell you!

Lastly, a sweet surprise:

Yesterday in the comments I mentioned a film review by Kyle Smith, published in the conservative, Murdoch-owned "New York Post." Kyle Smith slammed "The Undefeated" with a vengeance.

To use one of RAM's favorite old phrases: It's vintage. Enjoy:
If you're hopeful (or worried) that this movie is the secret trigger for a Palin relaunch, don't be. Even if you fixed the blaring soundtrack and took out all the symbols of the cataclysmic evil opposing Palin (barking dogs, disaster footage, a closeup of Rosie ODonnell), you'd still be left with a hopeless sputtering jumble.
The busted logic and narrative chop of The Undefeated dont suggest the phrase, spirited new defense of Palin. They say, cyclone landed here.
News clips of Palins tenure in Alaska as mayor of Wasilla, chair of the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and governor are narrated solely by friends and allies. They keep telling us that she (a) adhered strictly to small-government, free-market conservative principles yet (b) used the full power of government to make peoples lives more splendid. For instance, Palin is said to be cutting both taxes and spending in Wasilla. Fine. A minute later she is credited with unleashing an economic boom there by laying water and sewer lines and building roads that attracted national retailers. So which is it? Expansionist, or minimalist? Was she Wasilla's FDR or Calvin Coolidge?
Similarly, as we learn about Alaskas Survivalist Socialism all the precious fuel in the ground belongs to the state; oil companies can only lease drilling rights Palin is portrayed both as a free marketer and an antagonist of same who took on Big Oil by working with the Democrats to raise oil taxes.
In one scene, were told she didnt care about polls; in the next, shes bragging about her approval rating (88%). She says she doesnt put much stock in such surveys yet I figured my administration must be doing something right. So does her recent approval rating of 28% tell her that she must be doing something wrong?
