Herman Cain's campaign just dropped dead amidst shocking allegations of sexual harassment - "You want a job, right?"

By Patrick

Is it a comedy or a tragedy? A tragicomedy? The Republican primaries have descended into the weirdest political joke I have ever seen. It is bad enough that a woman like Michelle Bachmann, whose mental health is in great doubt (proof here and here and at many other places), is still part of this circus and bad enough that Rick "I definitely wasn't drunk" Perry still wants to be taken seriously (and don't ask me whether Rick Perry is gay or not, I read the whole weekend lots of articles and watched lots of videos regarding this question, and my head still hurts).

But now, things have come to an "all time low." Unfortunately, there also is Herman Cain.

What excitement at first! Look at the following scene from the hilarious, underrated comedy "Undercover Brother" (2002) with Dave Chappelle and you get a taste.

Watch:

I had to think about this movie today, because what follows in "Undercover Brother" is the announcement by the "black Powell-like candidate" that he will NOT seek the Presidency and that he will open a chain of fried chicken restaurants instead. Why does he do that? Because in the movie, he was artificially "brainwashed" by the "enemies of the blacks" who wanted to prevent a black candidate from running...

The brainwashed "black candidate" then even makes a commercial for his new fried chicken chain:

Now that's just a funny little movie. In reality we have a different situation: We have a former black pizza mogul who somehow bears a frightening resemblance with the "black candidate" in "Undercover Brother", and who DOES seek the presidency. The reality is as surreal as the movie, although Herman Cain is probably not "brainwashed." He appears rather to be "braindead." And the story in the movie and the reality these days frankly seem to be equally surreal. Also, it's just fair to point to the fact that Herman Cain is black, although it should really be of no importance whatsoever, because Cain himself has no hesitation to play the race card. Something which President Obama never did, as far as I know.

The existence of "the candidate Herman Cain" really started to freak me out this weekend - you can only take surrealism to a certain extent, because it quickly can turn into madness.

Fortunately, Herman Cain is already finished. The "4th accuser", a woman called Sharon Bailek, today went public with a dramatic statement in a press conference with a serious and detailed charge of sexual harrassment, with Gloria Allred representing her.

Watch:

AP reports:
A fourth woman has accused Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment--this time in public. Sharon Bialek told reporters in a press conference Monday that Cain groped her and exhibited "sexually inappropriate" behavior toward her when he was head of the National Restaurant Association.

Bialek, a former NRA employee who worked for the association in between 1996 and 1997, said the encounter occurred shortly after she was laid off from the group's education fund in July 1997.

She said she had approached Cain for help in looking for a new job and had traveled to Washington, D.C., where she had dinner with the then-NRA head. She told reporters that upon her arrival in D.C. she discovered that Cain had secretly upgraded her hotel room to a suite.

After dinner, the two were sitting in his car when she claimed he "suddenly reached over and put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals" and moved her head toward his crotch.

"I was surprised and shocked, and I said, what are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend," Bialek recalled saying. "This is not what I came here for."

Bialak claimed that when she protested, Cain replied, "You want a job, right?

The "Cain Staff" even had the audacity to mock Gloria Allred on twitter before the press conference:

Well, I guess now they won't laugh any more.

As sad as that all is, we should have a last laugh at Herman Cain's expense. I still somehow cannot believe that this man really exists. Get me out of the matrix! ;-)

Just about two weeks ago Herman Cain released the weirdest, and again, most surreal advert by a presidential candidate I am aware of. If you haven't seen it yet, you have to.

This advert has already sparked a wave of spoof adverts. Let me present to you some of the best I found.

UNEMPLOYED:

JON HUNTSMAN'S DAUGHTERS (more details regarding this ad HERE):

DAVE LETTERMAN:

SPECIAL MENTION - BEST SMILE AT THE END:

Herman Cain is the 0-0-0 candidate.

But who is giving me my sanity back?

Has the USA truly been Palinized, or is there still hope? Is this a silly question to ask? Is this all just a dream? ;-)

Sarah Palin / SP = Sexual Pathology?

By Blueberry T

Okay, enough is enough. It’s time to ask the question: what is it with Sarah Palin and all the bizarre sexual innuendos, accusations or insinuations about sexual predation that she levels against men who criticize her? No other politician, male or female, makes such frequent, public, sexually charged statements. Yet she is one who lectures America about Christian morals and values. If this woman is going to continue to try to exert power and influence, the American people deserve to know more about what appears to be her serious mental pathology.

Let’s review: In Going Rogue, Sarah Palin™ accused high school boys in Juneau of threatening to gang rape her daughter Willow, and later Bristol. From Going Rogue:

"In that first year, I was alerted to threats against Willow by students at her Juneau school, one particularly disturbing. Someone posted a note on an Internet site threatening to gang-rape her at school. I never felt safe for her after that. Later, the same thing happened to Bristol."

Yet school officials and even the state troopers assigned to guard the family were never notified of these threats. Who in their right mind would not report a threat of gang rape against their daughters, if it actually happened?

In June 2009, after Palin attended a Yankees game with Rudy Giuliani, David Letterman made a joke about Palin’s daughter getting knocked up during the 7th inning. Despite the bad joke being about Bristol Palin™, Sarah immediately accused Letterman of making a crude remark about her younger teenaged daughter, then-14-year old Willow. She also said that maybe she needed to keep Willow away from Letterman. (Remember that line.)

"Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands -- that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'"

In 2010, when Joe McGinniss moved into the house next door to the Palin compound on Lake Lucille in Wasilla, Sarah insinuated that he would try to peer into her daughter Piper’s window.

"Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?"

Later, in an episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska, she and Todd staged a scene where they criticized McGinniss and talked about watching him through a hole in the infamous and shoddy fence that Todd built.

Now, we find through the heavily redacted emails that in 2007 and 2008, Palin made a series of crude and sexually accusatory comments about Alaska State Representative Jay Ramras (note the lines about keeping her daughters away from him):

“Maybe Jay's missing his little lady and feels frustrated lately. I'll have to keep him away from Bristol."

“Sheeesh... He's basically just announced I'm not around HIM enough! Doesn't he know why? I have two teenaged daughters, everyone knows gotta' keep the young 'uns away from the likes of Jay.”

Vajayjay's surely not impressing his constituents, eh? Is that the best Fairbanks can do?”

These crude remarks were made on three different dates over a period of 8 months, showing a pattern of vulgar and insulting behavior toward Ramras on Palin’s part that was repeated regularly.

While I do not intend to imply that the Shawn Christy situation is analogous to these others, Palin has also accused Shawn Christy of threatening to rape her daughters. If I were an investigator in that case, I would be seriously troubled by the fact that making such accusations is a repeated pattern on Palin’s part.

This terrifying situation is not lost on her daughters, of course. Bristol testified under oath about how fearful she was to be alone in the middle of nowhere (well, not exactly NOWHERE) with only the Secret Service to protect her (actually, she left that part out) when some boys called at night claiming to be outside her house (actually, she didn’t get the call until the next day – details, details!).

Seriously, at this point, it is hard to keep track of all the rape threats that Sarah Palin claims have been made against her daughters. If all these threats in fact occurred, this would be truly terrifying for any parent, and for the daughters as well. If these were my kids, I would keep them out of the public spotlight! Or, maybe they could appear on DWTS writhing suggestively on the dance floor and wearing skimpy clothes and a come hither expression… but I digress.

It seems that anyone who dares to criticize or even joke about the Palins is fair game for all kinds of disgusting smears from the Palins and their followers as well, including the accusations that Jesse Griffin was a pedophile and the latest, from Bristol Palin™’s new book, that her children’s father Levi Johnston is a rapist.

Let me put it bluntly: In my opinion, Sarah Palin’s fixation with sexual predation against her daughters is abnormal and appears pathological. What is it in her own background and/or psychological profile that leads her to make these sexually-charged accusations? Was she sexually abused? What is with the barely repressed sexuality merged with hostility? I know of no other public figure who makes such unsubstantiated and extremely serious allegations – not once, not twice, but multiple accusations of this type. This is bizarre. Yet no one in the MSM seems to think this is noteworthy?

And what does it say about her view of her daughters? Does she view them as victims or as temptresses or sluts? Do they need to be protected, or do the men need to be protected from them? It’s a little unclear.

Adding to this odd behavior, Palin’s use of crude sexual terms is something that no other politician gets away with as she does. I mean, please: “limp,” “impotent,” “no cojones,” “vajayjay.” How is it that this woman who portrays herself as a virtuous Christian can get away with using such crude language, again and again? Why does Sarah Palin get a pass, when this language would be completely unacceptable from anyone else? She wants to be President, for God’s sake!

This was Palin’s response to Michael J. Gross’s unflattering Vanity Fair article, “Sarah Palin: The Sound and the Fury”:

"I hear there’s some pretty ugly stuff right now coming out…I don’t read some of it because I know that those that are impotent and limp and gutless, and then they go on, they’re anonymous, they’re sources that are anonymous, and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references…" (Sarah Palin on Sean Hannity show)

She reprised this refrain later in 2010 during an interview with Barbara Walters, referring to the anonymous sources who blamed her after the Republican failure to take the Senate as “…impotent and limp and they are weak and they hide behind somebody’s skirts….” [Her tone and expressions as she says this are, putting it kindly, strange.]

Palin famously said that President Obama didn’t have the “cojones” to tackle illegal immigration. Thankfully, Ed Schultz had the…well… fill in the right word…to call her remark what it was: sexist.

This behavior would be odd enough in its own right, but it seems downright pathological when taken in the context of Palin’s sexually suggestive gestures and dress (the winking, lip-licking, tongue-flicking, hooker boots, inflatable bras, answering the hotel door in a towel, etc.). Not to mention Sarah’s promotion of her daughter Bristol’s overt sexuality on DWTS.

From Newsweek:

Seductive Sarah Palin: "At the GOP convention in St. Paul, Palin was completely unfazed by the boys' club fraternity she had just joined. One night, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter went to her hotel room to brief her. After a minute, Palin sailed into the room wearing nothing but a towel, with another on her wet hair. She told them to chat with her laconic husband, Todd. 'I'll be just a minute,' she said."

From the Vanity Fair article by Michael J. Gross:

She has a horrible temper, but she has gotten away with it because she is a pretty woman.” (The friend elaborated on this last point: “Once, while Sarah was preparing for a city-council meeting, she said, ‘I’m gonna put on one of my push-up bras so I can get what I want tonight.’ That’s how she rolls.”)

Her unsubtle use of sexuality, all the while playing the sexism card, was not lost on some writers. Here is an article from Alternet that explores this subject, and another suggesting that “the hottest Governor from the coldest state” was political Viagra for McCain’s impotent campaign. ;-)

I would dearly love to see a psychological profile of Sarah Palin. Can you imagine what the Rorschach ink blots would evoke?
