Sarah Palin and Trig at the Flyers Game. My Fellow American Film

By Kathleen

I recently received the following email and was impressed with the message that the short film promotes.

As you know, America has always been a melting pot, but in the post-9/11 world the environment can be downright hostile. Recent mosque protests and congressional hearings on American Muslims are all unfortunate examples of a rising tide of fear. This climate of suspicion towards our fellow Americans compromises the great values that our country was founded upon. We've put together a 2 minute film in response that I believe you and the readers of Political Gates will be interested in sharing, watching, and discussing:

The site also has many other cool features including the ability to share your own stories and even taking the "My Fellow American" pledge. I would love it if you could post or tweet about this and share the video.

Please spend some time watching the film, visiting the site, leaving your impressions and if you agree with the sentiments tweet the site to your friends.

Remember this event? The Flyers game on October 11th, 2008?

Sarah Palin was loudly booed when she dropped the puck at a hockey game in Pennsylvania. Palin was accompanied by Piper in a flyers jersey and Willow. What few people realised at the time was that Bristol was also at the game and so was Trig. Thanks to Kim Chatman for alerting me to this photo (click to enlarge).

Poor six months old Trig missed the game because he was, as usual, fast asleep. Sarah obviously threw a Flyers bib on Trig in order to deflect negative reactions against herself and he is wearing a baby suit which appears to be several sizes too small for him. Trig appears to be surprisingly big for a six-months old prematurely born baby. However, it was no big surprise for us. Wade in with your own observations.
